- Location
You have already heard this before. You may be searching for a location for a local festival within a fair distance from the homes or places of work of most participants. As several attendees fly outside of town, it would be helpful to have a location near the airport or their hotel. Don't forget to consider travel, transport and parking options in any situation. - The F&B Minimums
If the location serves food and/or drinks and maintains a minimum amount of food and beverage investment (known as a minimum F&B), make sure the historical F&B reports from previous events are in accordance with the minimum.
Layout - Even if you're trying to choose your place early in the event planning process, you'll also want to get a good idea about what sorts of events you 're going to do, the facilities you'll need, and the expectations of your team and the attendees.
When narrowing down your choices, get a detailed floor map of each location, and stroll around your preferences at least once, take note of crucial items like where the outlets are and where AV equipment is or can be placed.
